How you manage your mentoring relationship

Learn how to stay engaged, set expectations, schedule meetings, and track progress to get the most out of your mentoring relationship.

Managing your mentoring relationship

When you're in an active mentoring relationship, your mentor or mentee will always appear on your homepage. From there, you can view key relationship details, send messages, and schedule meetings with ease.

Select View Details to open the mentoring management panel, where you’ll find a full overview of your mentoring relationship.

The mentoring management panel - Overview

The mentoring management panel provides a clear summary of your relationship, including:

  • Last meeting date
  • Next upcoming meeting
  • Mentoring start date and end date
  • Total number of meetings held
  • Total number of meetings scheduled
  • Goals set and goals completed

If you’re a mentee, you’ll see the goals you’ve created.
If you’re a mentor, you’ll see the goals set by your mentee.

You can also schedule meetings directly from this panel.

Monthly focus and relationship notes

Within the mentoring management panel, you’ll find a section titled “What are you working on this month?”. This allows you to record details such as:

  • Your meeting agenda
  • Objectives for the month
  • Reflections from your last meeting

These notes help keep your mentoring relationship focused and aligned.

When adding notes, you can choose their visibility:

  • Visible to me (private notes), or
  • Visible to both mentor and mentee

This flexibility allows you to keep personal reflections private or share progress updates collaboratively.

Scheduling and reviewing meetings

You can schedule meetings at any time by selecting Schedule Meeting and completing the meeting details, including date, time, duration, location, and meeting agenda.

To review past meetings and their agendas, use the three‑dots menu within the Your Next Meeting panel.

Its important to stay on track

By regularly updating goals, scheduling meetings, and adding notes, you can easily track progress and stay engaged throughout your mentoring relationship from within the Mentoring management panel
